Location

Manor AG is the largest department store chain in Switzerland. In 1902, three businessmen, Ernest and Henri Maus and Léon Nordmann, jointly opened the department store «Léon Nordmann» in Lucerne. It is considered the origin of the current corporate group. The corporate name «Manor», made up of the names of Maus and Nordmann, was created in 1965. The building at Bahnhofstrasse 75 to 79 was built as the department store Brann in 1899 by the architect Richard Kuder. In 1984, Manor took over the department store Brann from Oscar Weber AG.
