Welcome to Zurich Mr. Spock

Fascinating! The spiky ears of Mr. Spock have landed successfully at the Urania observatory. There is flying an ear in the Urania Street! Not least the installation created a sensation. Many passers-by stopped to watch, how first of all the first and than the second ear leaved to the 51 m high tower. They made their way with a working platform that reaches a maximal height of 68 m. Each ear measures 13 m and weights 100 kg. Thanks to their know-how the technical team navigated the ears with the neccessary intuition up to the cupola. It lasted two hours, then both ears were completly installed and ready to listen to the outer space. By the way, interested people can learn more about intergalactic relations and the endless outerspace in the public tours by the Urania observatory, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 9 pm.
